The Calcot team have been made welcome at the White Monk Tea Rooms where they seem to have made a temporary home, huddled over plans and photographs of the hotel in its former years.
Richard Ball, Chairman and Managing Director of Calcot Hotels is leading the development project and the re- launch of the hotel. He’s the tall bald one, very partial to Victoria sponge cake.
Cathy, his wife is the chatty one, who is methodically working her way through the White Monk’s speciality tea list.
Nicky Farquhar is Calcot's in-house Interior Designer. She is handling all the interior design work at The Lord Crewe Arms assisted by Compleat Interiors in Hexham, and Newcastle-based Designer Nicola Gartland. Nicky is a great fan of the White Monk's flapjack.
Local architect Chris Reed never stops working for long enough to eat cake, but if you see a man with a plan – that’ll be him.
Katie Simmonds is the Sales & Marketing Manager for Calcot Hotels and she will be overseeing the marketing of the hotel.
